Aileen McDonough is the wordsmith behind 3am Writers.  "I chose the title 'wordsmith' because it evokes a real, hands-on working with words.  It's a creation process."

Aileen says she has been in the writing and editing business since she won the city spelling bee in 5^th grade.  The Connecticut native has a B.A. in English from Wesleyan University and over a decade of experience in writing, editing, marketing and publishing.  Her experience ranges from writing and editing to sales, marketing and the production process.

Aileen makes the writing process easy and fun for her clients, saving them time and energy so their business can be more productive.  "I see writing as an organic process.  When we talk about your business and your goals, we are fueled by energy and inspiration.  I love to help clients communicate about their products and ideas, so that their passion shines through for their customers."

When Aileen is not up (at 3am) writing , she is running after her two children, Shane and Catherine, and sometimes her husband, Kirk.  She relaxes (once every year or so) by listening to music, enjoying the theater or movies, and, of course, reading!
